Cellucor D4 thermal shock is mainly marketed as an effective weight loss supplement and as they say: “incinerates body fat, gives you an unparalleled adrenaline rush and also offers you explosive energy without any of the adverse effects that the usual thermogenic supplements have.
Is it true or this is yet just another supplement’s company marketing plan?
What Is Cellucor D4 Thermal Shock – Reviews
Even if the official company selling this product, namely, Cellucor is marketing this product as a weight loss supplement, the reality is that by looking at its ingredient label, I wanted to tell you that you can’t really consider it a dieting supplement.
First, let’s take a look at the ingredient label:
What did you saw there?
The ingredients Cellucor D4 Thermal Shock contains are the following:
- Amla Fruit Extract
- Caffeine (150 mg of caffeine anhydrous – that’s almost like a cup of coffee)
- White Willow Bark Extract
- Octopamine HCL
- Yohimbe Bark Extract
- Evodiamine Sclareolide
- Passion Flower Extract (aerial parts)
If it were for us to take the ingredients one by one, the only ones that should really have a clear effect on how you function, when looking at the available research studies, and real life testing, are: yohimbe extract, caffeine and tyrosine.
Simple! Because these 3 ingredients are proven to work by research data and people reporting their effectiveness. But even if there are studies and people reporting caffeine, tyrosine and yohimbe as working, there are exceptions: people that are actually “immune”.
I can speak for myself when it comes to using thermogenic supplements: they make me dizzy and sleepy. So they don’t really work for me BUT that doesn’t mean that they are not effective for other people.
Examining Cellucor D4 Thermal Shock Active Ingredients Review
Yohimbine is an ingredient that actually works and it’s proven by research studies to be effective in getting that stubborn body fat out of the fat cells (in case you are in a caloric deficit).
Its effectiveness is proven when this ingredient is taken mainly on an empty stomach or after some hours after you eat.
Everybody knows about coffee and it is one of the most researched ingredients in the world: it gives you energy, focus and also increases fat burning (again, you have to be in a caloric deficit).
As I detailed here, this amino acid can enhance yohimbine’s effects, make you more alert and focused, increasing your overall work capacity.
What I Am Saying
Their “proprietary blend” contains 588 mg of the entire ingredient list from which 150 mg is caffeine. The remaining 338 mg is a combination of amla fruit extract, white willow bark extract, octopamine HCL, yohimbe bark extract, passion flower extract and tyrosine.
As clearly detailed in each ingredient check, the quantities for them to be effective are way bellow the recommended doses that were found to be effective.
Not only that but most of the proprietary blend is useless.
I couldn’t really observe any positive benefits when I tried it, just a normal rush of concentration which is probably because of their caffeine content so I deem this supplement as overpriced.r
What Others Are Saying - Cellucor D4 Thermal Shock Reviews
Searching around, I could find mixed reviews of people that had positive effects after using D4 thermal shock and also people that reported no effects.
In the conclusion section I will tell you why are they having mixed responses, so let’s see what’s up with this supplement:
Looking at other people’s cellucor d4 thermal shock reviews, my conclusion is that the only way to find out if it works for you is to try it. There are certainly ingredients that should give you a kick in but as analized, the quantities are on the lower side.
